Menagerie of creatured-oddities

Away from the hustle and bustle of Ionguale sits an unassuming, greenery-covered shop which all manner creatures call home.

Descritpion

The two-story Menagerie of Creatured-Oddities has permanently closed, darkened curtains, dusty windows, and a sign constantly turns to red "closed." creating much confusion as to whether the shop is actually even in for business. The shop's existence is poorly advertised, since the proprietor, the dragonborn Ilraash Awyn, prefers to keep her collection of exotic beasts rather than selling even one. Those who do know about the shop only know because of word of mouth.   Anyone who ignores common sense and ventures inside the "closed" shop finds themselves in what feels like an entirely different world. A thin layer of dirt covers the wooden floor, and every effort has been taken to disguise the interior to look identical to the natural outdoors. Curved ramps lune the walls, allowing access to the upper floors, intersecting with walkways crafted from old repurposed ceiling beams. The shop lives IP to its name - throughout the room, flying about, perched on fake branches, or happily stomping around patrons, are an uncanny variety of exotic creatures, all of which are for sale, provided the patron can prove themselves worthy.   Patrons travel from far and wide to witness the wonders of Ilraash Awyn's menagerie in hopes of leaving in possession of a creature. However most visitors are promptly kicked out for making the creatures uncomfortable, and it is unwise to cross an angered dragonborn with a horde of beasts behind her. Occasionally bundles of children gather outside the shop, daring one another to venture inside the sinister-looking building from which you can hear growls and shrieks at all hours of the day. When one manages to find the confidence to enter, they quickly realize how wrong they were about the place. There is nothing dark or scary in the Menagerie of Creatured-Oddities, only a found home for those without one.

Pet Cost
A well-trained flying snake. Ilraash keeps a steady supply, knowing that certain unscrupulous individuals like to use them as messengers. 10 gp
A pair of older mastiffs named Hambone and porkchop, who grumble and huff around the shop. They're both utterly unphased by everyone and everything. 25 gp
Volo, a bald tressym, who hides from any new patron and is seemingly annoyed by the existence of all the surrounding creatures. They're known to be quite "catty", lashing out during fly-bys before meowing for attention. 45 gp
A "miniature owlbear"(use the reduced-threat owlbear statistics) except it is Medium in size, which Ilraash promises will stay a cute bundle of fluff forever. In truth, in a matter of months the owlbear will grow to its (significantly less adorable) adult size. 75 gp
A blink dog for sale named Pomph (after the sound they make when they blinkà. Ilraash takes great pleasure in selling Ponph to nobles, only to have the creature return in a puff of smoke. 225 gp
Penelop (use vulture statistis. except Penelope can only fly once per long rest) a mil-mannered peacock. Displeased with Ionguale requirement that all pets be smaller than a peacock, a bard cast the awaken spell on Penelope to cause havoc. Penelope seems to feel compelled to insert their opinion on every little issue. 500 gp
hrasir, a yellow faerie dragon who is by far Ilraash's most prized creature and closest friend. They like to play harmless pranks, but they have been longing to explore the world beyond the shop. Ilrasash wants to find the perfect patron to let the dragon fly free, despite setting a high price to keep them around that little bit longer. 1,000 gp
