Darkmaster Gandling is the unforgiving headmaster of Scholomance. He wields a mixture of fire and necromantic Magic to divide and conquer his foes. Darkmaster Gandling has the ability to create Death Knight through a long and difficult ritual.

History

Once a humble historian and archaeologist, Gandling stumbled across pages of the Book of Vile Darkness, in his travels. It changed his life forever—and ended it.
He spent months poring over his discovery, attempting to decipher the book’s archaic passages. At first, he only meant to study the tome and record notes on his findings … but the codex called to him. Enthralled, Gandling convinced himself that he should just perform one of the book’s smaller incantations for posterity. That one spell destroyed his earthly form and turned him into a lich, an abomination of dark power.
The pages of the book of vile darkness in Gandling possession mysteriously disappeared shortly after his death. In his new form, he set out to amass more power. The once genial archaeologist thirsts for the life of the living and yearns to hold the book of vile darkness once more. To those ends, he joined the cult of the damned.
