Dire Wolf Species in Toriel | World Anvil

Dire Wolf

Large as horses, dire wolves must hunt often to satisfy their ravenous hunger. A mere human does little more than blunt their appetite.
Giant wolves, also known as Dire wolves or some rare storm wolves, are inhabitants of the northern region of Siniador. They are awe-inspiring creatures that hold a prominent place in the wilderness. Towering in size, these giant wolves rival horses in stature, exuding both ferocity and nobility as they roam the forests. Despite their untamed nature, these majestic beasts possess a remarkable level of intelligence akin to that of young human children.
