Fara'Halai Character in Tor | World Anvil

Fara'Halai

Life's Gallop

Deep in the heart of Terondar's Great Wood rests a respite of blooming flowers, and warm spring breeze. Within this shelter from the cold elements rests a gargantuan tree for which the elves of the woods call home. Once this tree was a dear, its name, Fara'Halai. In its true form Fara'Halai roamed the land, bringing spring to where every its gallop was, and the mortals loved it. Until the other beings of great power like Fara'Halai took advantage of mortals faith, and skills. Soon wars raged over petty immortal squabbles, and the mortals eventually rose up to seal most Demi-Gods away. Fara'Halai was hunted, along with the other children of mother nature. They all walked different paths, leading the great dear to the elves of the time. They sought to protect Fara'Halai from the mortals sealing, and though it was safe for some time, the elves where destroyed and scattered by various armies and alliances against them. Seeing this destruction of its patrons, Fara'Halai gathered what survived of its saviors, and galloped across the oceans to the deep south of the world, where snow was ever present, and boreal forests protected them. They named this wood, The Great Wood, and thus began the wood elves. Fara'Halai, fearing that its enemies may track it down, and commit the same atrocities of old, turned itself into a dormant tree form, still empowering the lands of the wood elves with its power, however asleep until the wood elves have need of it again.

History

Fara'Halai was the first born of Tora'Ani, and thus the first to receive her affection, and wrath. When the gods were sealed beyond the Lazerus Gate, Fara'Halai and its siblings wept for their separation from their mother. Though they could still speak through fleeting messages, the Demi-god children where phisically seperated from their mother, and went throughout the land in search of new pursuits and goals. Fara'Halai, Springs guide found comfort leading the elves of old, and with guidence from Tora'Ani, began to teach the lost mortals how to cast and bend the new
