Due to the river network, the Imperial Navy and its Marines are the premier military force in the Balkirian Empire. They have thousands of marines, hundreds of ships, most small river deployment vessels known as Linkers and a smaller number of elite war galleons such as The Vanquisher. They also have a single giant air ship named The Cloudcourser
