Owlbear's Roost

If you follow the Crownways from Estwald to Sudwaine , about midway through your journey, you'd find yourself in the rolling fields for which Summerlund is known. A lonely inn sprawls in a picturesque scene, and you'd be glad to find its doors open and welcoming. The song shows an owlbear curled up in its nest, and lettering proclaims it the Owlbear's Roost. You might think it just a typically colorful name until you entered and met the Owlbear that owns the place.

Rabbit is an awakened Owlbear, unique in all the world as far as anyone knows. He is gregarious and friendly, eager to hear stories of the road and news of far away places. He's also a generous pour at the tap and uses gold from a brief but lucrative career as an Adventurer to pay cooks and brewers to keep the larder filled. He also offers comfortable accommodations...although some wonder if the feathers he stuffs the pillows with might be...locally sourced to keep costs down.
