Cassada's Watch

Visitors to Balgondelve, Dammunheim, and other large settlements of Dwarves on Chul 15 witness the solemn ritalong Cassada's Watch, commemorating the time that Cassada Fivebraids stood and waited to see if her grandfather, Balgon Fivebraids, would emerge from the Underdark. At midnight, she ended her mournful vigil and, instead, carried her people into a bright celebration of the victory he had claimed and their freedom from the Giants of Jotunheld.

Today, dwarves mark the date with the solemn observance of watching for Balgon's coming, offerings to The Thanes of the Five Halls, communing with those who have passed on, fasting, and the like. At midnight, the solemnity dissolves into the celebration of Balgon's Victory.
