Farenne

Farenne come in three main varieties, shrub, tree, and climbing vine. Located underground, they grow from the ceiling down towards the floor of very damp caverns. Farenne grow best closer to the surface, and under large bodies of water. They are a fragile part of the ecosystem, acting as home and water source for many creatures. Industrious folks have found that the sap of the Farenne glows only briefly after leaving the plant, but when condensed through distillation, it can create a reusable light source, known as a Bright stick .
