Dornathus Redtip, Half-elf Celestial Warlock

A young adult half-elf now, when he was young (9-10) the Gabbon City orphanage that he had grown up in was closed down due to the passing of the House Mother. All the kids were sent to other orphanages by wagon. During one of the rest stops en route, Dorn heard something caling from deeper in the woods and went to investigate. What he found was an injured celestial being barely alive. He ran back to the wagons to get help but they had left without him. He ran back to the being, but it was gone...a puddle of glowing blood all that remained. He touched his fingers to it absently when he was startled by the beating of drums in the next clearing. A small pack of gnolls were celebrating their rare kill! Dorn turned and ran as far and as fast as he could, tripping on a root a crashing to the ground. When he fell, the glowing blood on his hand was smeared onto the side of his face unknowingly. From inside his mind he heard a voice telling him to go, but to go silently. He kept trying to chase the voice, not realizing where it was. He spent the night cold, and crying in a small ditch within earshot of the gnoll camp. The gnolls had left camp to raid and he visited the body of the being....long dead and mutilated. Touching what was left of the body, he heard the voice again and listened when he was sent to hide before the party returned. When the gnolls returned and packed up camp he followed, intrigued by their superstitions and taking many of them on as his own. After a few months of raiding their scraps, and learning to live off the land by copying their activities, he decided he was ready to attack the camp. He fashioned and fearsome mask that he hoped would scare the gnolls and ran into camp putting everything to the torch. The first gnoll he encountered cracked him square in the back of the head with a mace. Dorn blacked out, coming to sometime later surrounded by a razed camp and many dead bodies. He still has no idea what happened, but places full faith in the protection of the Celestial. He created a new mask carved from wood and covered with a gnoll's face stretched taut. The celestial being rewarded his courage with a pact to support good in Ellara. The mask serves as his arcane focus, with the essence of spells being marked on it as they are learned. Years later, Dorn has yet to feel comfortable in urban sprawl, but prefers to wander the countryside as a vagabond healer. He has a several small huts scattered throughout Ellara.
