Venus is a Mutant Turtle similar to the main boys who works for Big Mama and fights in the Battle Nexus.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Venus is a mutant Green Sea Turtle, and has a lot of the basic features of a mutant turtle, including the beak-like snout, three fingers, tail, and of course large shell on her back. She's very tall in stature with toned muscles. She has teal skin with dark spots on her arms legs and face. She has a white plastron and an orange marbled texture on her shell. Her eyes are completely black, including sclera.

Special abilities

Venus gets the usual physical enhancements that come with mutation. She's physically stronger and and more resilient than the average human and has enhanced healing. She gains some abilities from her sea turtle mutation, such as the ability to hold her breath for hours, and being able to sense the Earth's magnetic field. This also makes her more in tune with the natural mystic magic in the world.
She has trained in Godai from an early age and is quite proficient in it as a result, able to use all four elements with ease, and even combining them to create new ones.

Apparel & Accessories

Most of the time, Venus wears kimonos and robes given to her by her adopted father, however when working with Big Mama and fighting, she dons a dark, hooded coat with armored shoulder pauldrons. She also wears a kabuki mask to completely hide her identity.
She doesn't start wearing proper 'ninja turtle' gear until after she meets the brothers and they formally adopt her into their family dynamic, after which she wears a cyan, braided mask with matching belt and gear.

Specialized Equipment

He primary weapons are tessen, war fans made of iron. These fans have sharp edged and a bladed tip. They are black with flowers etched into the metal. They are also Yokai Weapons, meaning they are bound to her and allow her to channel godai.

Personal history

Venus was born an ordinary sea turtle, and was already 7 years old when she was exposed to Mutagen that had been washed out to sea after the Rockefeller Contamination Incident. Since she had recently been in contact with curious humans on a boat tour, she took on a child-like humanoid form. She continued to swim in the ocean and return to the shore to sun, when a Yokai visiting the human realm in disguise found her.
Believing the child to be a lost kappa, he introduced himself as Chung-I Xue. He offered to bring the child home, but when she confessed she didn't have a home, he took her in, and brought her to his home in the Yokai Realm.
Xue raised the child as his own, giving her the name Mei Peih Ch'i, Mei for short. She was raised believing she was a yokai, thus conformed to their culture, as well as Xue's Buddhist life style. She also trained regularly in godai becoming quite skilled with it.
One day Xue got into financial trouble with one of the regions most powerful mob bosses, Big Mama. He owed her a lot of money and he was too old to work and pay her back. In exchange for sparing her father's life, Mei offered to work for Big Mama until she could pay the money back. As a result of this deal, Big Mama forced Mei to fight in her Battle Nexus.
Mei took on an alter ego for fighting, disguising herself and taking on the name Venus, based on the painting Birth of Venus, which mirrored her own oceanic origins. She eventually fought her way to becoming the Battle Nexus champion, earning her fame and adoration, and making a lot of money for Big Mama.

Education

Mei was homeschooled by Chung-I Xue. He taught her everything she knows including how to speak. He also regularly trained her in martial arts and mystic magic.

Employment

Venus currently works for Big Mama as her personal assistant, as well as champion fighter. When she's not in the arena, she is usually doing odd jobs for Big Mama as well as acting as her personal body guard.

Morality & Philosophy

Venus generally tries to be a good person, but is very neutral about death. She will kill if she needs to and she little remorse for it. While if she has the choice, she will be merciful, if she is tasked with killing someone, or is defending someone she cares about, she will without hesitation.

Venus's only motivation is protecting her father at any cost, as he is the only person she has in her life, and would be devastated if anything were to happen to him.

Personality

Venus is quite introverted and quiet. She keeps to herself and often has a hard time making connections with other people. She comes off as cold and emotionless, which tends to scare people off, despite her not being a mean person. She's an elegant, skilled, and dedicated fighter and and is passionate about learning new things. She grew up sheltered and often doesn't understand a lot of basic modern concepts, especially those of the human world.
When she opens up, Venus can be quite sweet and compassionate, even if she tends to stay calm and quiet compared to the others. She's always willing to give advice and chunks of wisdom to the younger turtles.

Family Ties

Chung-I is the only family Mei had for the longest time, thus is very close to him. But she slowly opens up to the turtles when Mikey insists that in a cosmic way, she is their big sister.

Mannerisms

Mei is very soft spoken and monotone when she speaks, if she speaks at all. She tends to stay on the quiet side, to the point of being creepy. She remains very proper when she holds herself, unless she has to fight, in which case she can be more intimidating. She moves very fluidly and elegantly, always with purpose.
