Mental characteristics

Personal history

Hunter had an unstable childhood growing up, with an alcoholic father and a mother addicted to cigarettes' and pain pills. He was a wild and rebellious teenager, who joined gangs to feel a part of a community. He was the biggest kid in the group and also the angriest, often taking out his anger by bullying those who were weaker than he was, and he would ride the high of that power he felt. He eventually formed the Purple Dragons, along with getting his first tattoo.   Hun's criminal habits had him spending time in an out of jail for much of his youth. That was until he met Kate, a pretty young thing that found him and his bad boy personality absolutely infatuating. Kate was one of those girls who believed they could 'fix' Hun, and she was the most successful. She embraced his interests while also steering him away from trouble, and eventually, Hun chilled out and left his gangster lifestyle behind.   Hun and Kate got married shortly after and had a child together, Jason. Hun was confident that he'd been able to turn his life around and have a family, but then things took a turn for the worst. Kate was diagnosed with lung cancer, and over the next year and a half, rapidly deteriorated in the hospital. in 2016, she passed away, leaving Hun a widower to take care of their son alone.   Hun quickly fell into a deep depression after Kate's death and he started drinking, a bad idea considering the pattern of alcoholism in his family. In his drunken state, he would take out his anger at the world onto Jason, verbally and physically abusing the boy. Meanwhile his son slowly distanced himself from his father and started getting into dangerous groups, repeating the cycle Hun grew up with.   Feeling powerless and wanting to feel the thrill of life again, Hun decided to join the Purple Dragon's once more, where he quickly made himself leader once more and returned to his old ways of crime. Wanting to make a little extra money, he started making deals with shady people in NYC, including Oroku Saki, who found use for the Purple Dragons with his fraud schemes.

Education

Hun never finished high school. He dropped out at 16 and got his GED after marrying Kate.

Employment

Hun had always had a hard time holding down long term employment. He prefers labor intensive jobs and for a while he had a good gig as a construction worker, but after Kate died, he lost his job and fell back into a life of crime.

Morality & Philosophy

Hun is an opportunistic person. He doesn't really care about many people nor feels empathy for people who get hurt by his actions. He's of the mindset that the strongest and meanest guys out there are the ones who will survive, and if you can't keep up, you might as well drown with everyone else. He is selfish and will value his own needs over others.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Hun likes to feel like the top dog. He likes feeling powerful, which usually comes with targeting people that are weaker than him. He wants to feel like he has succeeded at something, a feeling he almost achieved when he managed to have a family. But when that failed he just went back to what made him feel good in the past.

Personality

Hun is a confident, cocky, and boisterous man. He seems himself as this bad ass leader, but in reality he's just a brute who gets his rocks off tormenting people. He's quick to anger, especially if his pride is bruised, and he often uses violence to silence people who piss him off. But he's also surprisingly cunning, being able to set traps for people and ambush them with his gangs, as well as get insight on everything that happening on his turf. He is unapologetically cruel and an asshole.   But others see a different side of him. To people close to him, he's the kind of cool, free spirited older figure a lot of kids look for. He lets people come to him in their time in need and vent to him about their stress, and he'll listen to them and empathize. However, there's a manipulative fakeness to this side of him, which he'll drop as soon as the person pisses him off.   It was only Kate, his ex wife that was able to see the real soft side of Hun. Deep down the man was just angry at the world and wanted to be happy and have a life he wasn't allowed to have as a kid. Hun was genuinely loving and caring to Kate and changed his whole life for her, which stung worse when she died.

Mental Trauma

Hun had a bad childhood, with bad parents and a life constantly filled with violence. He built up walls to keep himself from ever feeling weak and helpless; walls that Kate was able to tear down and see the better side of him. Hun was able to be vulnerable again, until Kate died. Hun was furious at the world for taking away the one good thing he had, and began lashing out at it once again, including his own son, continuing the cycle of generational abuse in his family.

Social

Family Ties

Hun stopped speaking to his parents after he left school and moved out. Eventually his father's alcoholism killed him. Shortly after his mother overdosed on pills and died as well.   Hun had a nice relationship with his family he had with Kate, but with out her in the picture he started isolating himself again, especially since her side of the family never really liked him. Even his own son started to distance himself as Hun's behavior worsened.

Mannerisms

Hun puts on a gruff tough guy act in public. He stands tall, puffs out his chest, flexes his muscles, and gives people a fear inducing sneer. He doesn't have a polite bone in his body. He's rude, and crass, with no manners. He acts like he's the main character whenever he's in the room and does whatever it takes to draw attention back to him.

History

Kate and Hun were high school sweethearts. She thought Hun had this bad boy energy to him and she thought his motorcycle and his tattoos were so cool. They started dating and Kate could see the potential for Hun to be a good guy, so she would try her best to encourage him to do better and do the right thing.   Hun would realize he had a good thing going with Kate and would try his best to do right by her. He left the purple dragons, got his GED, got a decent job and was able to marry her. Shortly after they would have Jason together.   Hun stayed by Kate's side after her cancer diagnosis, taking time off of work to take care of her 24/7, but she would still succumb to her illness, leaving Hun lost.

History

Hun had a pretty good relationship with his son when he was younger, all things considered. He tried his best to be a good dad and support him, and that was easy when Jason was little kid.   However, things changed after Kate's death. Hun started drinking and getting angry more often. He'd take this anger out on his son, who would in turn start avoiding him. Jason would start being rebellious as a teenager. He'd leave the house without telling his dad, he'd stay out late, and he'd start hanging out with dangerous people. The two of them would often get into heated arguments that would end with Jason leaving with bruises. Eventually Jason would cut himself off from his dad all together.

Commonalities & Shared Interests

Jason got his interest in rock and alternative culture from his dad. When they were still on good terms they'd listen to music together and talk about extreme sports. Hun used to be very supportive of Jason's interests, but after their relationship began to crumble, they stopped talking and hanging out all together.
