Orre Feus (he/they) is a character played by Will (he/they) in
Oops! All Clerics. He is a Level 4 Grave Cleric of Kelemvor.
Description
Orre stands seven feet tall with swarthy tan skin with olive undertones. His eyes are a strange blue like the Diarmagon Sea right before a storm. Some would call them grey but a strange cerulean lurks there and warns of the anger of a gentle man. Orre’s hair is black as pitch and worn long but kept neat. His hands are strong showing the long hours spent shaping the somatic components of spells and playing the lyre. Across his body are few scars that can be seen in his everyday attire. Order wears the black of Kelemvor edged in gold to signify his service to the Doomguide Medea. When he embraces his Aasimar heritage his wings appear to be a dark forest green and his skin glows golden rather than its normal tan.
Orre is a calm and composed person now more so than at any point in his life. Few have seen his composure crack since he lost his fiancé. He has a wry sense of humor, believes in duty to that which you have chosen to follow and believe in, and does not tolerate fools. Some consider him harsh because of his quick decision making and conviction once he has chosen a course of action. Those who know him well would call him subtle and slow to anger, but beware if his wrath once roused.
Backstory
Orre Feus is a young protector Aasimar man with shoulder length black hair, grey eyes, and a stern face that many say does not show much emotion. As a Cantore of Kelemvor Orre serves the Lord of Dead and soothes the souls of the living. He carries a lute, mace, and shield with him and dresses in black robes edged in gold to signify his service to Medea Griseo the Doomguide.
Early Life
Orre was born in the town of Cippa, on the island of Heims in the Merideum Archipelago. He grew up with his parents Calliope and Oegrus who were lute and lyre makers who used the local olive trees to craft their instruments. His early exposure to instruments led Orre to become an accomplished lyre player. This skill helped him win the heart of his fiance Deur Cyie, a young woman from Cippa, who owned a dyer’s shop and was renowned for her unique purple dye.
As a promising young musician Orre traveled the coasts of Kauvet playing his lyre to support himself so he would not rely solely on Deur. He traveled with his best friend Geoffrey de Sauser and Emily Phallusin as part of a trio. Orre played the lyre to accompany Geoffrey and Emily’s poetry and they would accompany his songs with lyrics. They become well known on the coast road and were welcomed in any inn or tavern for a night or seven.
One day Orre received a letter from his parents that Deur had unexpectedly passed and Orre was heartbroken. He ran to the nearest temple of Kelemvor and begged for them to send someone to resurrect Deur. Unfortunately too much time had passed and they could do nothing for her. Upon this news Orre fell to his knees and began playing out his sadness. The other parishioners began to weep at the beautiful music coming from his lyre and asked the priests who could play of grief, and death, and loss so poignantly. A local Sacerdas of Kelemvor and Doomguide was there and realized that Orre had the makings of a priest of the Great Guide. After he played out all his emotions the Doomguide told him that perhaps by entering Kelemvor’s service Orre could better understand why Deur was taken from him and put his gift with music to help those who had experienced loss like himself. After this conversation Orre returned to near his home and went to join the priests at the Mausoleum of Kelemvor on Tenebris.

The priests at the Great Mausoleum were happy to accept Orre when he arrived with Medea’s recommendation letter. As an acolyte Orre was often tasked with playing the lyre for religious ceremonies. He focused on understanding the theology behind Kelemvor's teachings as his innate understanding of the emotions surrounding death allowed Orre to help ease the hearts of those who passed into Kelemvor's grasp or were left behind by loved ones. Orre graduated top of his class and was awarded for his knowledge of theology and ability to make persuasive arguments for Kelemvor’s teaching. He was especially known for his use of apologetics to debate those who believed Myrkul is an equal of Kelemvor.
After completing his acolyte training Orre went to serve at the Portamortis in Acropolis. He was chosen due to his skill as a musician and played in the major ceremonies of Kelemvor. He delved deeper into the study of magic and became skilled in enchantment, abjuration, transmutation, and illusion. He became renowned as a counselor and was often requested for private sessions with those later on in life who feared death. During his time there a parishioner gifted him a Headband of Intellect to thank him for spending so much time playing for them before they passed. This is one of his prized possessions as it enables him to better investigate the mysteries surrounding death. His skill with the lyre and magic helped him quickly rise to the rank of Cantores and he left the Portamortis once he completed his exams.
Orre’s sponsor into the Mysta had kept a keen eye on him as he progressed in and had him assigned to her as an aide once he was raised to Cantore. Orre has spent the last year traveling Kauvet assisting Medea Griseo in her duties as a Doomguide. The pair has spent much of their time at the Osseus Septiontralis with Medea’s other Cantore, Ahria D’ne. As a final test before Medea sponsors Orre in the Doomguide’s test she has arranged for him to serve as Kelemvor’s representative at the Church Picnic. His task is to ensure that the Priests of Myrkul do not win even if it means neither do Kelemvor’s.
Important Places
Merideum Archipelago
A small archipelago of islands in the south of Kauvet. The three major islands are Heims, Tenebris, and Interitus. The town of Cippa and the Great Mausoleum of Kelemvor are the only settlements in the archipelago. Hermits, fisherpeople, and others live on the smaller outer islands.
Cippa
Cippa is a small village on the island of Heims with just under two hundred permanent residents. Cippa is home to many fisherpeople who catch herring, cod, salmon, and shrimp. While seafood is the main export of Cippa the town also is known for producing oil, lutes, and lyres made from the olives that grow on the island. The town has a small harbor in the eastern part of town that leads to the market. To the north of town are the olive groves and larger homes of the wealthier residents. In the south is the main residential district where the majority of residents live. In the west is the merchants quarter where the crafters live and where most of the social buildings are. The two largest taverns are “The Am Or Us Dolphin” and “The Olive Press”. The Am Or Us Dolphin is rowdier and tends to serve younger folk, servants, fisherfolk and laborers. The Olive Press is the haunt of merchants, ship owners, and wealthier visitors. The Mayor of Cippa is Olea Europa, the former head of the Presser’s Guild in Cippa.
The main guilds in Cippa are the Fisher’s, Carter’s, Shaper’s, and Herbalist’s. The Presser’s Guild is the largest and represents the workers who grow and produce olive oil on the island. The Fisher’s are the second largest and represent the fisher folk of Cippa. The wealthiest are the Shaper’s who make up the crafts people who make everything from lutes to bows to furniture from the olive wood on the island. The smallest guild is the Herbalist’s. They care for the common folk, craft potions and tinctures, and collect rare herbs through the Merideum Archipelago.
Heims Island
Heims is the second largest of the main islands of the Merideum Archipelago. The rocky coast supports a few rare varieties of salt-tolerant herbs and is home to the small village of Cippa. The inland of the island supports a hardy variety of olives in volcanic soil, has a few species of native goats and rodents present throughout the Merideum Archipelago, and on the higher hills more herbs that prefer the rich volcanic soils. A cold nutrient rich current off the coast supports a wide variety of sea life.
Interitus Island
The smallest of the main islands in the Merideum Archipelago. Interitus has no settlements due to its inhospitable environment. Natural caverns emit sulfurous fumes that lead deep into the earth and brackish geothermal tidepools line the shoreline. The olive trees that grow throughout the Merideum Archipelago have become twisted by the fumes and the bark is a smoky grey and the leaves a sickly yellow. The normal wildlife of the Archipelago have been twisted and are hostile to visitors. Only the Herbalists Guild of Cippa come here regularly to collect rare herbs, and those trips are completed as quickly as possible.
Tenebris Island
The largest of the island in the Merideum Archipelago and the site of the Great Mausoleum of Kelemvor. The coastline is mostly high basalt cliffs with high fjords that lead to small beaches. In addition to the Great Mausoleum Tenebris is known for the giant ravens that roost in the interior of the island. The olives cultivated on Heims grow wild and many of the native species are prevalent inland. Away from the Mausoleum on the southern shore the island consists of valleys, hills, and plateaus that are difficult to navigate. Of special note are the sea caves that dot the island shores, but few have been explored.
