Ana ote Makutu

Ana ote Makutu is a nonfiction one-shot ran by Will (LordofRavens).   The great floating city of Opeopea is about to reach the northernmost point in its wanderings and receive a shipment of weapons from Loloto and the Forgemaster Tagata Pese, who work their magic in the dangerous canyon Ma Auro. After slowing their travel with the great sea anchors for two days and no sign of Loloton ships, the Pulenuu (mayor) of Opeopea decides to send a delegation to Loloto. When the delegation arrives, they see a city broadside to a rogue wave with broken oars. The docks and forges that normally bustle with people are empty, and the buildings on the edge of town show signs of a recent attack. The Tieti Malie of Loloto, bandaged and bruised, usher them into an audience with Jawn Dwaynesson, the Pulenuu of Loloto, where they hear of what has befallen the city.

  • Synopsis

The party arrives in Loloto and volunteer to assist Jawn in defeating the source of the attacks while he and his Tieti Malie defend Loloto through the night. The party then speaks with Imgil and Artur and learn that Tayjory Maror the Green was an ancient figure and Imgil’s predecessor. He worked with her until he discovered she was experimenting on lost sailors and fishermen, twisting the Tagata Pese’s magic.   The party leaves, sailing in the Brook's Folding Boat to the Canyon of Ma Auro while avoiding enemy scouts. They head to the bottom of the canyon, following a strange light. They discover a den of the Devil Sharks and a fight ensues. Some party members go unconscious, but they ultimately prevail and find a staff of healing in the den.   In the Cavern of Ana ote Makutu, the party discovers an ancient door that warns of the dangers within. They solve some riddles that undo the magical lock on the door, and begin exploring the cave. While in there, they defeat graftlings (Tayjory's creations), and block off one entrance of the transformation pools before fighting Tayjory. They soon discover documents that explain her magical creations and tell of her history.
