Nebula Nexus

The Arcaneum , when it heard of the New World, created the Nebula Nexus and sent several of their most studied deans under the leadership of Evertt Tellery who lobbied hard to lead this expedition and look into this new land that defied all attempts to use divination and teleport to it. They packed it full of as much magical equipment and magical towers as they could and then the ship set sail. However shortly before the ship arrived they ran into a gravity storm, and the ship started to break up, and several of the towers shot into the new continent.
Many of the mages were eventually rescued and the Nebula Nexus and several of the surviving towers did eventually crashland next to the New Colonies helping the colonists have a more stable starting point.
