The Elven Kingdoms

The elven kingdoms were once a powerful force in the realms. Existing long before many of the other races of Timeuria, and nearly as long as the Primordials, they spread across the material plane after the sundering of Terra'el. Establishing settlementrs at points of immense magical powers, they began to grow in their understanding of the natural energy that fuels the material plane. This enhanced their innate magical abilities and cemented them as the strongest magical race within the known world. This also meant that when the realmswar struck, they were the best equipped to battle the betrayers and their hordes.   During the Realmswar a large part of the elven civilization was wiped out, cities were destroyed and populations eradicated by the evil gods and their armies. Shortly after the realmswar the Queen Vanesa Ravenswood of Stoze decided to take advantage of the weakened Northern Elven Kingdom and take more land for her country. The Elves fought hard but ultimately retreated to Illalona and Nyl Thalas. The Eastern Elven Kingdom resides on the isles of Tidallis and little is known about them as they dont allow outsiders within their walls. In light of the events before, during and after the realmswar the Elven Kingdoms became more sheltered in an attempt to preserve the Elven race. Only a few city names and locations are even known at this point, though there are very likely more accross the realms.   The Southern Elven Kingdom was completely obliterated, and only a handful of survivors were able to leave the nation and make it to the shores of Illalona in the Northern Elven Kingdom. Among them were the Winddream family, who was a powerful house and became the eventual rulers within Illalona. The lands of the Southern Elven Kingdom would eventually become known as Estrya.   The Eastern Elven Kingdom went into hiding and vacated a lot of their cities in order to reinforce the area surrounding the capital. The islands nearby would become collectively known as Tidallis after the humans from Westaria took them over. They now reside side by side with the seafaring nation of Tidallis and have a rich trade history with them.
