Magic as a force is present within every creature of Tilvera, the only thing that separates a Wizard from a Barbarian is their natural aptitude for such skills. These can also be trained and practiced for improvement, but some are more attuned than others. This allows for a basic knowledge and use of magic from almost anyone in the world. The presence of magic in society is also fairly common; Wizards are regularly found in the courts of kingdoms as advisors and counselors, while Clerics of different skill levels can be found in just about every town in the land.
Celestial Magic
Celestial magic is that found in holy people, Clerics and Paladins being the primary examples, but any who would worship some form of deity or patron for their magical abilities would be considered to use Celestial magics. This is the more common approach one would find in larger cities and civilisations due to the popularity of religion, but can also be found in darker forms with Warlocks.
Arcanic Magic
Arcanic magic is less common but has a stronger tie into the culture of the world. Children that show a natural affinity to magic will often be sought out by
The Tower of Mages for training and education. Due to the unstable nature of this form of magic, specifically from Sorcerers, the Tower was founded to teach these children how to control their abilities and provide them with future careers as advisors to great rulers across the world. These mages will often be installed as members of courts and kingdoms, allowing for an element of control over the events of the world, however there are some that refuse this and disregard this form of magic entirely.
