Maălobă

Maălobă (a.k.a. The Wolf Mother)

Maălobă is the goddess who first gifted humans with magical souls.   Maălobă is the first goddess, whose arrival on Tieără caused the Split between it and Earth, introducing magic to the world in the first place. She is the mother of Ciêădainn, the other god worshiped in Bredainnă.   She is considered by some to have been the first werewolf, and as such lycanthropy is commonly called Maălobă's curse. She uses the wolf as her main symbol, and her name literally translate to Wolf Mother.   Maălobă promises to grant a magical soul to any who swears to serve her as her priest or priestess. Unlike Ciêădainn, Maălobă believes that non-mages are worthy of the same treatment as mages are.
