The most handsome of Novians will be the ones who look like they could feast for three days, then wrestle a direwolf into submission.

Novian Men are known to be elaborate dressers, brighter colors standing stark against the pale skin of their people. Short hair, clean trimmed beards or clean shaven faces with long elaborate braided hair are popular amongst the womenfolk. Women, on the other hand are prone to keeping hair short, or in the upper classes long and flowing and unbound. Well fitting clothes designed to be worked in are currently in style, and the ideal face is one you could use to chisel stone.

Courtship Ideals

Novian Courtship begins with a token of affection, differing depending on the type of relationship desired. A one night stand or friendly fling may be begun with a sealed bottle of alcohol, while a romantic relationship is begun with a wreath of evergreen. More political mergers may begin with jewelry or other well crafted art pieces, showing the value placed in the other member.
