The Temple of the Family

The building was once devoted to a god from Celestia that was obsessed with bringing 'law and order' to Sibi . The day Reyva came to stamp them out was the day she became the true Voda in my eyes. As for what the temple has been purposed for since, well it stands for Sibi now and there is no finer place in Thysia for those that want to become healers and survivors.
The temple of the family is one of the few reasons the people of Thysia choose to visit Sibi. For this temple is unique as it is a school devoted to teaching healing, life magic and even resurrection to it's students and, whilst one does not need to attend this school to become a skilled healer, there are very few who leave the school having learned nothing.   The ethos of the temple is rooted in three things:
  • Love for Sibi and a desire to heal the country of any dangers.
  • The idea that if you can adequately heal in the harsh weather of Sibi when in the midst of danger then you can heal anywhere in the 'softer' parts of Thysia.
  • You will always be welcome in the Temple of the Family if you have resolve, faith and a desire to do good.
The temple of the faith has since, in the last few years, evolved into a sprawling complex in Tolle Brucke containing a variety of buildings set around encouraging certain clerical oaths and commitments as well as specialised buildings for surgeons and non-magical medics. It also houses gardens that are so fruitful with herbs that both heal and poison that they are seen as a marvel in the harsh country all by themselves.   The temple is currently ran by Head Healer Mandrake Siftroot, a tiefling druid personally selected by Reyva Cairnath for their skill with alchemy, their influence have created a school for alchemy that has ensured regular potions for the people of Sibi who are often in need.

Architecture

The temple is a sprawling complex with a variety of buildings that mix the architectural designs of both the north and south of Sibi. This is in no small part due to the campus like nature of the temple of the family as the buildings are split either side of the Tolle Brucke bridge.

History

The temple of the family was once a cultish subsect temple who were paying off the former Voda of Sibi to allow them to continue their presence.   They were a temple to the god Sarenrae who believed that a key to releasing the celestial gods could be found in Sibi. When Reyva returned to Tolle Brucke she saw this temple and, in a rage, challenged the former Voda to a trial by combat which she handily won. Two days later, Reyva led an assault on the temple to Sarenrae and killed all but one of the worshippers... the leader was spared and sent to The Endless Walls where they have been kept in solitude since, destined to serve an immortal lifetime.
