The Ilustraie Family

Thugs and murderers, we all know it... if King Viltis wasn't so desperate to avenge his father's murder then they would likely be in chains or on the executioner's block...exactly where they belong.

• Nobles reflect on the appointment of the Ilustraie family and their high standing.

The Ilustraie family are elected nobles who currently reside in the capital of Carivel where they are in charge of trade and transport throughout the city. They were notably given the mansion residence of the former head of transport and trade but have now been in charge of it for eight years. Before their new noble station, the Ilustraie's were the former partners to the Wendels, for the Ilustraies were a High Elf family who were incredibly skilled with magic and roguish assassinations... however, a clear difference between the two families is that of their magical power. The Ilustraies are a deeply sorcerous family who were especially proficient in shadow magic and combining it with unarmed combat focused on speed (shadow monk/shadowfell sorcerous bloodline), this difference led to them both competing against and working with eachother for contracts and, though the Wendel's had far more fame, they were as successful as one another. The Ilustraie's were placed in power after they were the group to destroy The Wendel Family after their assassination of the former King of Paradosia. For the Ilustraie's chose to betray the Wendel's and track them to their safehouse. The Ilustraies joined with two other crime syndicates to destroy the Wendels... such was the reward offered... however, as soon as they killed the last of the Wendels, the three groups turned on one another and only the Ilustraie's were left standing at the end to claim their reward from Gregor Viltis. The family were cleared of all crimes and bounty's and were given the noble station they now possess in Carivel. The family have gone 'legit' for the last eight years in the public eye at the very least and seem to enjoy the accumulation of wealth. The family consists currently of:

• Caesar Ilustraie- The head of the family, a VERY skilled arcanist and fighter who now acts as the noble face of the family.
• Tinelda Ilustraie- Caesar's wife, a beautiful High Elf who is rumoured to have had a string of affairs that Caesar does his best to keep covered up. She is a former poisoners and drew fame for creating poisons that were fast acting, deadly and impossible to trace.
• Rhylgar Ilustraie- The eldest son of the family and twins with Senala, he is something of a wild child who does not last long in a relationship and constantly wanders from the family... he is kept out of the public eye often.
• Senala Ilustraie- the other twin child of the family, beautiful, graceful and murderous. She is quick to anger and very violent in her interactions. A courtship with another (unnamed to the public) noble family that went wrong left the oldest son in the family with severe facial wounds after he made an unsolicited pass at Senala. Depsite her quick anger, she is cunning and intelligent.

Physical Description

Specialized Equipment

The Ilustraie's Soul Arm is a purple rapier with a rod attached as part of the hilt so that they may cast spells with ease. The rapier often glows when they use it and is capable of 'soaking' poisons, notably changing it's colour to green if it is filled with poison. If an Ilustraie's blade is green then it is more than capable of killing a target in one scratch.
