Frost forges are an Sibi creation, with an arctic ice base as opposed to stone, the forge is powered by the encased soul of an Ice Primordial that is then filled with magma that is quickly frozen and transformed into a steaming, blue coloured liquid.
Sibi is the only space that can create frost forges due to their well kept secret design and unique geography. Typically, the best way to tell a genuine frost forge from a mocked attempt is that, when a blade enters the magma of the forge, it will pierce an aspect of the elemental imprisoned within, making it release a small cry of pain with the impact that often sounds like a drowned whistling.
Items created in a frost forge are expensive, rare and exceptional for dealing with arctic threats but also devastatingly weak against creatures of heat and fire. Frost forges can also be used to upgrade Soul Arms but if a soul arm is infused with the energy of a frost forge then it will stay that way.
Due to the dangers around Frost forges, their potency, the fragile care they required to run without killing the ice primordial within and the difficulty in finding, subduing and trapping the soul of said primordials there are only three Frost forges found in Sibi two in Tolle Brucke and one with a wandering group who do not belong to a barony.

Manufacturing

Items created by, or imbued with, the frost forges glow with spectral ice in a deep turquoise blue in hot climates or spaces, the item will often 'drip' but will not melt.
