Tesseret Temple

Since their temples frequently serve as hospitals, they do not spend a lot of time on looks, instead focusing on a functional and efficient care facility, so most Tesseret temples are simple in construction with room for rows of beds, individual rooms for contagious patients, and storage for medical supplies.   Their interiors are utilitarian buildings, and are usually constructed of wood and stone, with little in the way of flourishes or architectural features; Tesseret clergy is only interested in features that help with the treatment of the sick and injured.  They will hang tapestries to their god around the temple, but some will simply paint the symbol on a wall in order to save space.  The antechamber is smaller than those of other faiths, with a simple altar and a place for prayer, and a statue of Tesseret nearby. They will also place smaller statues of their god in strategic areas, and animate them or enchant them to animate at a command word or when the occupants are in danger.        The exterior of temples to Tesseret have the god's symbol display prominently, so that anyone who needs healing or treatment can easily find them.  This is where the clergy takes a little more time to create features that are eye-catching and noticeable, so they will build them with a central parapet that they can place a flag with the colors and symbol of Tesseret.  Most will have a courtyard surrounded by a sturdy stone wall, and in times of war or conflict, they will use this courtyard as an overflow for when their rooms are crowded, or as an intake area for when they have many to treat.  The entrance to the courtyard is usually flanked by statues of their god, and most can be animated, either by a spell, or they are enchanted to activate at a command word.    No major city is without a temple; out in the rural areas of Thyr, Tesseret churches are built in a central location between townships, villages, and farms and the priests travel the countryside checking on the people, ensuring they stay healthy.
