Session 016: Fire Island Report

General Summary

Session 16. The Chosen made their way to Fire Island by way of the Prisoner constellation. Jekkar spoke to Oren about armour & Oren told him that Volkan had been making them equipment. He, Pyra, Veronica, or Hulgnir could get a message to Volkan. Jekkar asked about having a Platemail of Mytros made & was told that it would cost 4 Mithril ingots, a piece of 2 different Giants/Titans & a charismatic creature & 5000 GP. Euadne told him she had the creature parts, & Pyra offered to help him cover some of the cost. Theron spoke with Kyrah about Pegasus lore & gave Theron what she knew. Pegasi loved to be airborne & ate in the air 90% of the time when awake. They sleep in caves, somewhere protected from sight. They are smarter than a horse, & are extremely loyal to good souls. She told Theron that she was sure that things would work out in the end. Even if a bond seems forced on the surface, great things can come of it. Speaking of the Dragon bond as a form of friendship so intimate there can't be words to express it. Theron had dinner with Moxena, & found an ally with an unlikely & yet seemingly honest & surprising history. They traded gifts to solidify their alliance & show commitment. Theron received a lighting shortbow, & Moxena a kopis. When the Chosen slept that night they were visited by another of Lutheria’s dreams. A loud bang woke the Chosen up. Jekkar shrugged off the madness of seeing Lutheria’s Lord of the Flys horror movie on his own. The rest felt Mytros's protecting them. The Chosen found Veronica's Dragon had arrived aboard the Ultros. With a bloody loom Oren recognized, & allowed her to put it in her quarters. Then they discovered that all but one of the apple barrels had turned into cider. One of Volkan's automatons delivered a mithril shield for John. It had a spike in the center like he once attempted to ask for except, his shield was made to look like Daisy (John's Cockatrice) with wings spread & the spike was her beak. Fire Island. Now all those that wanted to read the 4 books, each takes 1 day to read, to get proficiency in Arcana, have read the books IIRC. Jekkar has attuned 3/10 times over a 2 week period with his Dragon. When they got onto the Island they met seven Lizardfolk, one a shaman who requested they meet with his Queen. Meeting Queen Vthra the Chosen accepted a quest to kill the Fire keeper king of the volcano Tribe Lizardfolk. He had perverted worship of the Sleeping God, see legends above for Chalcia to Sydon. He sacrficed to him he was given two Cyclopes, & a powerful artifact. There are two ways into the village a main entrance a bridge made from the spine of an enormous creature. Or a secret passage known to her because she created the village, & was the rightful queen of the Lizardfolk on this island. The Chosen entering through a secret passage fought their way through the chambers, killing Lizardfolk, & Fire Snakes. They stopped at a gigantic turtle shell. Ollidak heard a Dragon's roar coming from behind the turtle shell's door. The Chosen defeated several Lizardfolk shaman who attempted to go. The Chosen killed the King & looted him of a Staff that crackled with thunder & lightning. The Chosen killed his Brass Dragon wyrmling (Euadne thought the Dragon to be a year old), & with Kyrah's permission. The Dragon was harvested. Jekkar chopped off the Head of every medium creature & when we went to put them somewhere Kyrah gave him a Head bag of holding that holds a dozen heads. He put in: 5 Fire Snakes 3 Lizardfolk Shaman's 2 Lizardfolk 1 Lizardfolk King 1 Brass Dragon 12 Filling the bag. Then Hulgnir & Veronica healed some. When Jekkar gets a response from Volkan the construct tells the Chosen told that Volkan has returned to the Forge in the Mithral Mines & is now working with the Fire Salamander there. So two items can be made at the same time. Oren, & Pyra's Dragonlord Oath: I can't possess you, for you belong to yourself. I cannot command you, for you are a free creature. We shall serve each other, in the ways we both require. We will increase our wealth by righteous means. We will achieve happiness, & harmony through knowledge. We will aid those of our blood Who have done harm. I am blood of your blood, & bone of your bone - forever. Veronica's Oath was about serving with her Dragon in Sydon’s name. Hulgnir's oath to his Dragon was about serving each other & Odin. Is Steros on some other part of Fire Island? Is he in Volcano Village? Will the Chosen be able to get the second Brass Dragon egg? If Steros is in Volcano Fire Keeper Village, will the Chosen simply return to the Ultros after they're done? Tune in next week to find out.
