SUBJECT: The New Jerusalem
As I was praying this evening on how to best reach those of you who have not yet embraced Jesus with your whole selves, I was given an inspiration to share an excerpt of one of Brother Gideon's most powerful sermons with you all. His words are far more pure and powerful than mine, and I pray that you will read it and see the light of truth in what he says.
And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Brothers and Sisters, we find ourselves in the Time of Tribulation. You've seen it; the forces of evil have been unleashed upon the land. Satan and his minions walk among us. They pervert our institutions. They corrupt our children. They tempt the righteous. The signs can be seen in the filth upon our television screens, and in the godless words that fill our newspapers. In every corner of this modern world, the devil has been given a free hand to pull down the pillars of society, and replace them with chaos and perversion.
Now, I know you may look at this and cry out, as our Savior did, "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" But God has not, and never does forsake the faithful. The Tribulation is not a sign that God has abandoned us. It is a sign that He is making ready to welcome us all home, into His bosom. The legions of the fallen are unleashed to carry out the Tribulation as a final, ultimate test of mankind. The day of mercy has passed, and few were called Home. Of those who remain, many will fail this test. But if you put your faith in God, if you heed His words, and you support His temple upon Earth, you will repel the minions of the Devil, and you shall rise from the ruin and ashes of this world, ready to enter the heavenly city, the New Jerusalem which is promised to us in the Holy Bible.
Brothers and Sisters, it is upon us to resist the temptations of Satan and to hold tight to our faith. Hold tight to each other, to your children, to your families. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil! Do this, and you shall be rewarded, when the New Jerusalem comes down from Heaven, to stand upon the broken Earth and make it new again, a home for all the faithful who shall live together in the city of God forevermore. It shall be the shining city on the hill, and its light will cleanse the world, and drive the fallen from its walls, never to return. It will be the living city of Christ, where all shall live in righteousness and peace, never to know hunger or pain again. It will be the paradise God has promised, and redemption Christ died for.
Brothers and Sisters, the Tribulation is here. The monsters of hell are loose. But God does not forsake us. We are not abandoned. I have seen the light of Heaven in the distance, the shining star of the New Jerusalem beyond this moment of doubt and pain. Be faithful, and you shall pass through the Tribulation, and we shall all enter the New Jerusalem together.

Wasn't there supposed to be the rapture before the demons were set loose? Lots of holy people lifted up into the air leaving piles of clothes behind?

The Rapture came. But we are more sinful that we realized - only a handful of people were taken home. Just a few extra missing persons across the world. It makes me cry to think of it - we are all so wicked, that the Rapture wasn't even noticed.
That's pretty solid, dude. Well done.
