Thick Will

Will (a.k.a. Thick Will)

"Thick" Will is a huge, hulking Human that is the hired help at the Gardner Inn in the Town of Oakfield.  He works for Sami Gardner, the owner of the inn, and only responds to Sami's insructions for reasons unknown.
Will stands nearly 7’ tall (if the ceiling were high enough) and can easily carry three hundredweight of firewood at one time. Thick Will is, indeed, thick in size (chest, arms, thighs, neck) but he is also (apparently) a mute and an idiot. He never speaks, but can follow instructions if clearly given by Sami. He is ridiculously strong and amazingly intimidating, but unless goaded into a fight, on the whole gentle and silent.

General Physical Condition

Absolutely massive. Nearly 7' tall, and nearly 300 lbs of pure muscle. Seemingly healthy and very capable of difficult manual labor.  Massive arms and chest, huge hands, thick legs and the strongest back in the entire Ward of Rolar.  Dark hair cropped roughly to shoulder length, thick greying beard, weathered features.  His size is his most recognizable feature.

Employment

Will is the primary laborer at the Gardner Inn in the Town of Oakfield.  He hauls wood, scrubs floors, tends the fires and hearths, cleans the stables and hauls oceans of water for the baths at the Inn.  On the very rare occasions that there is a disturbance at the Inn, Will keeps the peace with his immense strength and iron grip, but only at Sami Gardner's direction.

Intellectual Characteristics

Will appears to be a mute and an imbecile. He does not ever speak, and seems to respond only to Sami Gardner's instructions. He can hear people speak, but only reacts to Sami's directions or instructions.

Likes & Dislikes

Although Will has never said as much (since he has never been heard to "say" anything), he does seem to enjoy horses.  Whenever he is tasked by Sami to work the Inn's stables, he will always be seen to offer some form of comfort or kindness to the horses and ponies within.  Sometimes simply a gentle stroke of the neck or muzzle, or careful attention to hooves and manes, but routine and regular attention is given to these beasts.  While tending the horse is one of the very few times one might see Will actually smile.

Will has never been heard to utter a sound since he first came to Oakfield.  He has not spoken, laughed, cried, called out, sang or even belched in public... ever.  All that is known for certain is that Sami Gardner speaks to him in Caldarian on a daily basis, and Will responds every single time.

It is plain to see that Will understands Caldarian, since that is the language Sami speaks to him in.  It is not known if he understands any other tongues, since he has never been known to respond to anyone other than Sami.
