Noble House of Borri
The House of Borri was ennobled when Alman Borr swore fealty to the King of Wessridge, Benn Ohn in the decade immediately preceding the Ohnni Conquest of Imesse. He was granted all the titles and holdings seized from the rebels of Coldhome that had risen against Benn in a bloody two-year rebellion that began in 14 BF. These grants were given due to his service during the rebellion, and Alman gained even larger holdings after the successful conclusion of the conquest of Imesse. The Borri again gained holdings after supporting Josso am Maxalli in 94 AF during the Maxalli revolt and overthrow of the Mykalli dynasty.
Lord Alton am Borri, after the Second Great Orc War, was further gifted lands and titles by King Lothar am Maxalli. Alton was a young and courageous knight fighting to defend his home in Coldhome, then helping to lead the drive to relieve Cyell.
The family maintains large but relatively poor holdings across vast stretches of the far western reaches of Imesse, including estates in the Barony of Cyell, the Grand Barony of Wessridge and the Royal Domains of Northern Imesse. The current head of the House is Gill am Borri whose residence is in City of Dunrick, but the largest estate outside of the baronial holdings is in the City of Coldhome, where most of the rest of the family still resides.
There is a distinct possiblity that the Borri family might have drifted back into relative obscurity, but for the chance meeting of Alton's daughter, Ethel and the future King of Imesse, Max am Maxalli at a King's Day tournament in Southridge. They were married within the year, and the future of the House of Borri was secured for generations to come.
