Melorian Mountains
The Melorian Mountains, or the Mons Melori in Elvish, is actually a segment of a large mountainous region in the northeast portion of the Elven Realm of Naru. Formed of steep and barren peaks where the southern edge of the Caldar Valley rises to meet the western edge of the of the Arul Valley, this is a rough and very difficult range of mountainous terrain by any standards. There are two relatively safe passes through the region however, and it is at the junction of these passes that the City of Melorian has risen to control the region.
Geography
A steep and rugged region of mountains surrounding the City of Melorian. There are two high but clear passes through the mountains, one moving north-south and the other east-west.
History
A significant and important region for the Elves of the Realm, these mountains have a history that stretches back farther than the Elven Realm. Numerous ancient and mysterious ruins and structures exist whose purpose and origins are almost entirely unknown.
