Matius of Sellenia
Oostah Matius (a.k.a. the Sellenian)
Matius is a wine and flesh merchant operating in the City of Karnesh on the Arak Coast. He is a grossly obese ebonos Human originally from the Empire of Sellenia and now resides on the eastern outskirts of the City of Karnesh.
Doing his busniess from a ruined and ancient guard post, he runs a moderately popular brothel and tavern and a very busy and extremely profitable wine warehouse. The success of the wine operation is easily attributed to the scarcity of palatable wine anywhere in the City of Karnesh. His ancient tower is located on the shores of the Eastern Sea and allows wine-laden vessels from Sellenia to unload directly into the warehouse and to load fresh women and girls from his brothel onto the ships to be marketed in the slave pens of Abest. His connections within the City of Karnesh give him access to the best and healthiest female slaves coming into the pits of Karnesh and his supply of good wines makes purchasing them at a discount quite easy.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Matius is extremely fat. Standing only 5'8" he weighs at least 400 lbs and is so obese that he is unable to climb the stairs of his tower without the aid of his retainers and slaves. His skin is the deep, dark black of a mainland ebonos, and he wears his hair extremely short and has his round face shaved every single day.

Because of his large size, Matius wears long flowing silks that keep him as cool as possible in the near tropical heat of the Arak Coast.
Specialized Equipment
Within his silken robes Matius hides a small double-edged dagger that is held in a special sheath. This sheath is lined in a poison made from the bile of a Sand Drake and is about as toxic a poison as can be found anywhere in the world. A cut from this dagger would be instantly debilitating and ultimately fatal if not treated with an anti-venom within 24 hours.

Very little is known for certain about Matius' past. He is known to hail from Abest on the Island of Sellenia and he is known to have close contacts with many influential and wealthy merchants in the Empire. He has been operating out of the ancient tower complex for nearly 15 years now, and his operation has 20 hirelings and another 20 Karni slaves working and living within the complex. He also has a steady flow of women and girls that move through his brothel that number as many as 30 souls at any given time.
