Kingdom of Uliad
The Kingdom of the Uliadii is a political and tribal division of the Island of Thallmar in the greater Thall archipelago. It is a confederation of smaller tribes and clans united under the rule of the Uliadii Tribe. The entire Kingdom has a population of 180,000 souls which all belong to one of the 11 established Tribes of the Uliad. The most populus tribe of the Kingdom is the Uliadii with a total population of just under 74,000 souls which makes the Uliadii more than 40% of the entire population and gives them the right to put their tribal leader on the throne of the Kingdom. That leader is Mallaky Mar, or Mallaky the Great in Thallian.
The Kingdom is the second largest territorial division of the Thallmar Island and encompasses more than 17,000 square miles of land (or roughly twice the size of the State of New Jersey). The Kingdom's capital is Glenhome on the island's east coast. Glenhome has a population of just over 40,000 people and is the largest city on the Island of Thallmar. There are three other cities within the Uliad Kingdom with populations of more than 25,000 people: Olathe in the north, Nocmar and Belhome (less than 35 miles north of Glenhome).
Structure
The King of Uliad is Mallaky Mar, the leader of the Uliadii tribe. The Uliadii control the throne of the Kingdom by virtue of their tribe's size in comparison to the other affiliated Uliadii people.
Culture
A strong and fiercely independent people with a centuries-long association with the Uliadii confederation. Constituent tribes have a voice in their government based on their tribal population, and this has proven to be a very functional means by which to run a kingdom. All eleven of the established tribes of the Uliadii confederation have a role in the running of the Kingdom, and all participate fully in that role.

Rich in resources and trade routes, Uliad has a booming economy and looks to control the greatest amount of land and people possible on the island of Thallmar.
History
Uliadii have ruled the lands around Glenhome for more than 400 years, and over the last 200 years have expanded their control to its greatest extent. The last 70 years have seen numerous small conflicts between the Uliadii and their neighbors the Keenii and the Dunarii for supreme control of the island's central highland regions.
The last ten years have been relatively peaceful for the Uliadii. A short but deadly war was ended in 223 AF with the successful advance of Uliadii control into the highlands to the west of Glenhome from the Dunarii and the death of the former Uliad King, Malmorda, six years ago have brought tensions between the three great central tribal kingdoms back into prominence once more.
