Great Gate
The Great Gate of the City of Rolar is the large stone gatehouse of the western approach to the city. It is a bastion tower gate with a height of 50' in total and a depth of nearly 60'. The gate itself has two massive oak and iron portcullises and an interior gate of thick oak beams banded in iron. The Great Gate is the largest stone structure in the entire City of Rolar.
Purpose / Function
The Great Gate is the main access point for the western half of the City of Rolar and the primary barracks and operational center of the City Watch.
Denizens
The Great Gate is the operational base for the City Watch of Rolar. It is the barracks and duty station for an entire Company of Dragoons and a full Scout Company.
History
Recently completed and fully operational after more than 12 years of construction, the Great Gate is the crowning achievement of the Warden and Lord Mayor of the City.
