Dillard Bolder
His Highness, Prince Dillard Bolder
Prince Dillard Bolder was the second son of King Dillard the Golden and the brother of King Willard the White. He was a dashing and popular figure in the Kingdom of Cobal. In the year 52 AF, Dillard and his wife Aline Courbet gave birth to their son, Dillson Bolder.
Dillard planned a grand tournament that following summer to celebrate the birth of his son, and knights arrived from all across the region and world. Knights from Aria, Imesse, Fangort and even Colo presented and competed in the contest. In an afternoon joust, Dillard was facing a Knight Captain of Dragoons from Colai named Edbert Waters. On their third tilt, Waters' lance shattered off of Dillard's shield and pierced his helmet's eye slit. The Prince was instantly killed, to the crowds utter horror and dismay. Dillard was laid to rest in the family crypts of the Royal Palace with his father and mother weeping openly at the loss of their son. His wife, Princess Aline, raised Dillson alone, never remarrying and never leaving Cobal for the rest of her life.
