Duke of Warrington

Known for their divine dominion over the Duchy of Warrington, the title of Duke or Duchess of Warrington alludes to the ruler of the dukedom. These rulers comes from a long line of royal warriors, stemming from the holy union of the first Duke of Warrington and the founder of The Divine Kingdom of Arcane which resulted in the second Duke of Warrington, and the royal bloodline that they carry.   The Duchy of Warrington includes a variety of lands, but most famously, Chameleon City which was conquered and then turned into the capital of the duchy. Warrington Manor, the home of the Duke, remains there to this day.

Qualifications

In order to be qualified to become the Duke or Duchess of Warrington besides the requirements of birth, the potential heir must be adequate in the following: battle tactics, war strategy, duchy management, finances, and close combat training. Typically the Duke or Duchess prior determine the next Duke or Duchess based off of their talents and attributes. Depending on the period of time, such as war or current conflicts, a Duke may choose a different heir than the first-born because of their abilities.

Requirements

Requirements to be even considered as a Duke or Duchess include the following: birthright, marriage, and or regency. In the case of birthright, the child must be a legitimate child. Illegitimate children can be made legitimate by baptism under the Judeo-Christian Church who can bless the heir and cleanse them of their past life's sins. If eligible via marriage, the consort must have married the official Duke or Duchess and will be eligible for their appropriate title by aiding their spouse in their duties -- usually they look over the manor and personal estates in comparison to their spouse's official duties.

Appointment

Dukes and Duchesses of Warrington are appointed via a coronation ritual in which they are given small blessings by familial figures and are blessed by their local religious leader. The ceremony ends with the Duke or Duchess drinking three cups of wine; One for the church, one for their family, and one for their land.

Duties

A Duke's or Duchess' duties include the following: managing the duchy, giving charity to the church, leading the duchy, standing as a moral example for the military.

Responsibilities

The more physical tasks that a Duke or Duchess must undertake are the management of their duchy, taxing the people and more so managing taxes and policies, leading the military, and paying heed to the current monarch of The Divine Kingdom of Arcane by attending their court duties in the Consulate.

Benefits

The Duke of Warrington holds a politcal position in the Monarch's Consulate in Arcane. Besides holding the direct dominion over their Duchy, they hold control over Arcane's strongest military unit, the Arcane Forces. Marrying into the Warrington line is also highly beneficial as the accompanying consort

Accoutrements & Equipment

Famously, the Duke or Duchess of Warrington wears a iron spiked crown that sits like a circlet on their head. It oddly resembles the depiction of a crown of madness.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

A person of the rank of Duke or Duchess of Warrington may be removed via divorce, a claim of apostate, or death. The most common preceding however is when a rank is passed down; they are not necessarily dismissed, but no longer hold the title once their heir takes over.
