Once upon a time, long ago, Earth was a magical place with great gods walking about the lands but then magic began to fade and a new reality set in. Earth began to decay due to the mortal folly of humanity; trash littered the oceans, the skies turned dark when it was day, and the air was thick with grotesque smog.   Life was dwindling on Earth, but humans didn't seem to care. Everything continued on horribly until one day, a river sprung gold. Magic began to seep into the core of chaos, spreading the olden ways that had once died out back onto the green crusts, filling blue seas with magics of gold. Sleeping gods arose from their forgotten graves, some struggling while others emerging free to a new yet familiar world. The separate continents yearned for each other, and soon enough Mother Earth granted their wish to reunite.   Now, Thrae is a vast land divided into warring kingdoms, politics between races run amok and the era of deities has returned. The people of Thrae are of varying colors and sizes, horns and wings, fangs and fins -- there is no "normal" in this land. Patrons bless their chosen champions and fighting pantheons battle for control in a world where there is more gods than planes, more power than holders, and more trickery than honesty in the very soil of the earth.   But if there is one truth that every person of Thrae knows, it is the prophecy; Six champions find themselves at their great divide, called to center line and sent out to fight for their very lives and the fate of Thrae.   These Sacred Six Champions are actively searched for in the capital, and in decades past there have been supposed saints, believed to be members of the prophecy, depended on and awarded for their actions in war and chaos. But, despite the various tragedies that occur in Thrae, no Sacred Six have been found, as there has never been a true world-ender that fit the prophecy's end.   That is until the day the moon turned black and whispers of the arcane emerge about forgotten gods no longer willing to be forgotten.
