Ilkios Halfblossom

Former Diviner Ilkios Halfblossom (a.k.a. Ilk by Darrell and Noctis)

The Halfling wizard staying in Flitwick, he is a close friend of Darrell's and had originally moved as he was tired of teaching the ritual land in Erathis and wished to retire. 
He is a skilled Mage (monster stat block) but not one of the strongest. He trained Sorrow to control her power as a sorceress though he cannot make her stronger. Since then he has taken on Noctis as an apprentice as she has far more magical potential and so he has begun training her as a wizard to use her innate magic in a different manner.
He is staying behind in Flitwick whilst the party and the others go to the Platinum Games so that he can cast sending to Darrell for updates and also offer a magical edge to the town in case of a concentrated assault.

Personal history

Ilkios was raised by a middle class Halfling family and was apprenticed to an alchemist from a young age, though, when he reached 80 he realised he was better used as an alchemist AND practitioner of the Arcane Arts so he moved across to the ritual land of erathis where he was taken on as a teacher of divination and alchemy.
He did this for centuries, living a stable and single life until he became tired of it and moved to Flitwick where he formed a friendship with Darrel when he moved to buy the Spiked Hammer Inn. 
After this he stuck to te former soldier and has supported him ever since.
