4th Era

The events of The Shattering has long lasting scars which are still seen today. The collapse of the Amakir Empire took the subjugated factions by surprise and in the confusion created a civil war which lasted decades across the continent. This also tipped the power balance in Yaldica, as the Silder'Ethian elves lost one of their core allies, leading to surprise attacks from rival kingdoms.   With global strife seeded everywhere, the underbellies of society grew more powerful. Mercenaries, pirates, assassins, and thieves guilds were utilized by kingdoms. Allowing them to network with other groups and forming mega guilds which still function and are harbored deep within most kingdoms.   This date has been recorded as a starting point for factions within Morgoth. Seafaring nations have also adapted this new beginning, having been effected by the volcanic ash. For those in Yaldica, it is only just a significant event and still use their current calendars.
