The Tomb of the Emberknight

Here our party learned about Atlor Flaam's fight against the wendigo, but also stumbled upon an unknown portal from which Wooly Will reached in and retrieved the Flameblade Shards.

After fighting giant spiders and otherworldly worm creatures the party discovered the ancient tomb of Atlor Flaam. An amphitheater design looking down upon a stone casket, out of which more grotesque worms were coming, engaged in battle with a stone golem. The group remained unnoticed as the golem dispatched the worms and returned to a resting spot. The party also took note at this time of the ancient writing that spoke about the wendigo. Wooly Will turned invisible to try and spy inside the open tomb. Peering inside he saw an impossible expanse of space, a writhing mass of horrific worms, and a hilt of a sword, just barely within a stretched-out arms reach.   Upon retrieving the shards from beyond the veil, Wooly Will fell into the past, experiencing a moment that seemed clearly to take place in the previous age. You found the 'Flameblade ' to not actually be a sword per se but a collection of highly magical and very alien metallic shards.   The ancient tomb began to crumble, and our party all made a swift escape back to the entrance.
