The Roaming Sand Sea

An expansive and magical desert dominates the southwest, cut off from the rest of the continent by mountains to the north and west and by the Paricia River to the south. What is called the 'entrance' into the desert, the break between the two mountain ranges, opens into the Crossroads Valley where you'll find the city of Summerholt.
The desert itself is constantly shifting, its surface often more akin to water than to solid ground. Massive boulders drift around and act as small islands, settled on by the Ordinath, the nomadic people that live here.
Ordinathi are viewed as the only people capable of traversing and taming the Sand Sea, and people from outside kingdoms will not survive unassisted in the unforgiving environment.
The mythical City of Brass also shifts in the desert here, floating around along with everything else. Claimed by Ordinathi as their capital and its Sultana as their sovereign.
