The Cindercrest Empire originated in the city of Xynnar, on the continent of Astrakane. Xynnar was originally the largest independent city in Zraemore and was ruled by the Nal Darnesk family. The head of that family Tilvar, was ambitious and dreamed of a united land, rather than the scattered masses that made up Zraemore. Taking the elusive, yet powerful, Cindercrest bird as his family sigil, Tilvar set about conquering and absorbing neighbouring cities and villages under his banner. At first people raised arms against him, but eventually the overwhelming might of his forces was too much. By the time Tilvar reached the Spinecap Mountains the majority of cities had surrended and sworn fealty to the new named Emperor Tilvar Nal Darnesk Cindercrest 1st. Tilvar ruled until his death and was succeeded by his son.
