Snowflake cathedral

Purpose / Function

The Snowflake cathedral is the largest place of worship for the Queen of winter north of the Emerald bone pass and Icegfin.

Architecture

Unlike its dainty name, the Snowflake cathedral is a massive building of gothic architecture made almost entirely out of white marble and other precious white stones. Only the oldest part, a small stone building hidden at the back of the cathedral's living quarters.
The cathedral is divided into two symmetric parts connected by a long walking bridge arcking over the bustling street. Each f the parts has two massive, square towers at the front (west)side flanking the entrance. The towers stand over 160 metres tall and on a sunny day, the mountains can be spotted from the top of the structure.
The North building is commonly used for rituals on special occasions and for ceremonies that aren't for the public. The back(east)side of this building also functions as the private quarters for the bishop and some of the older high-ranking priests. Other servants of the cathedral live in separate housing nearby.
The north-buildings stained glass windows depict strange arcane symbols surrounded by ice or snow.
The South building is meant for the public and is open for visits from 06:00 until 23:00 in the evening. In case of emergencies, such as a large city fire or attack by demons, there is an emergency doorbell next to the door that will alert the priests and bishop in the north building.
The inside of this building as white as it is on the outside but has a pitch-black stone floor. The stained glass windows depict several of the more well-known myths about Cailleach, the Bodach and their children.
There are multiple altars within the temple for different kinds of offering. The most notable of which is the central altar for the offering of dried fruit, vegetables, candles and incense. The other two largest altars are the altar for 'shiny things' such as gold or jewels which is in essence a donation box to maintain the cathedral and the altar for sacrificing live animals or meat. The latter is located in a specially made room that is cooled and keeps in the smell and sound as to not disturb other visitors.
