Empire of Micars joins the Federation

Empire of Micars joins the Hyperion Federation almost exactly 1000 years after first contact.
  Despite the ideological difference, they joined for the very advanced technology and other benefits of being a close ally with several larger nations.
  For example, the Dyson sphere currently under construction nearby.
  The ideological difference was slowly reduced by the Federation, as the people have been given many benefits from the more advanced society. Specifically, the introduction of Replicators made them a post scarcity society. Now there is no more oppression of the Micars population despite them being an empire.
