Virtans System

Star system owned by the Republic of Vanadia. The Virtans System is significant mostly for Vanadia, the Vanadian homeworld.
The Virtans star is of spectral class G. It is actually a binary system between Virtans A, the glass G star and Virtans B, which is a much smaller class M star that emits little light. Virtans B is only visible when there is no atmospheric interference and is viewed from space. It orbits at a very small radius, so the various planets in the system all orbit the langrange point between them. Obviously this is much closer to Virtans A. However, Virtans B is likely to outlast Virtans A in terms of fuel usage, but that is hardly a concern as it is likely to happen in millions of years. After such a long time the Vanadian Republic would have advanced technologically and easily find a solution. This extra star also means the republic can use star lifting a bit more.
