Tanalaris

Galaxy that is very close to the Retinus Galaxy, the Banfranal home galaxy.
It is thought that eventually, in several million years time, the Retinus and Tanalaris galaxies might collide. In reality, this is not a large concern to any faction, because it is thought that most - if not all - civilizations would be destroyed long before this event. If they did, they might have the energy necessary to prevent this collision.
The Tanalaris galaxy is also notable for being the first galaxy the banfranal race has visited with the exception of their home galaxy. It is here that they made contact with the Sulethis Republic, a relation that would go on to form reliable allies. The Tanalaris galaxy is an active spiral galaxy. There is currently no megastructure built around the central supermassive black hole of the Tanalaris galaxy. This has however caused a large amount of high energy cosmic events to happen near the center.
Ultimately, the TN allowed the SR to claim this galaxy on the condition that the TN could travel through SR borders. Both sides accepted this deal.
