Soul Displacement

An extremely advanced and very powerful future technology of the HF.

Invented by the Phelke, soul displacement will allow an individual to select 2 sentient entities and swap their bodies. Unlike the phelkes' natural STP, this works at range, does not require the operator to be phelke and neither of the targets have to be phelke. Also, the machine performs the switching operation so it cannot be easily prevented by the targets. Other than that, it operates like the natural STP that the Phelke have access to.

Soul displacement is a very powerful technology and does not require consent from the targets, but it can be modified to obtain it. As such, they are largely limited by the ethics committee and can cause serious damage to one's life. However, military uses within the HF exist, such as empowering Hyperion spies to be far more effective and even causing severe morale damage to enemy forces during battle. It can also induce heavy confusion very easily. The HF could invent a special forces unit using this technology, but the military is limited by the Hyperion Ethics Committee. 

In its current state, the HF could not replicate this technology as they still do not fully understand the STP. Only once they fully understand the STP and can potentially expand on it, then they could invent and use it. In current times, they continue to run experiments in attempts to determine how the STP works.

It is also possible for a Harkas to modify a person's genome to incorporate such a deviec into one's body. This will cause the person to grow a new organ located close to their brain which can allow them to operate it with little more than a thought, and leaves no easily detectable energy signature.
