Sajurix

Beings of pure energy beyond mortal comprehension. They come from a much higher dimension than the various civilizations and aim to destroy all life 'lower than themselves'. They are still vulnerable to material weapons, though, because they must come down to the 3rd dimension to have an effect on other lifeforms.
Due to the unique composition of sajurix, the Hyperion Federation as well as many other factions had to develop new weapons to be able to defeat them. The HF developed the etherial Colour Variant, as well as some energy wave and disrupting warheads. Most factions tended to follow the latter path in terms of weaponry.
Some factions (mostly the HF) have studied them and found some interesting information about energy. This has contributed to several technologies especially those involving energy. Some more efficient methods of energy generation have been found, called a Catalyzing Generator. This is a large component of a fusion reactor that almost completely reduces the product matter to energy, providing many with a useful way to reduce the gap between fusion and antimatter generation technologies significantly. This is only one example of such a technology.
The sajurix also wants to syphon energy from the lower beings, taking them and using their bodies to generate energy. The sajurix have also taken technology out of the universe. Many theorise that the higher dimensions are running low on energy and have come to harvest stars using Dyson spheres or similar. They have, rarely, been seen 'eating' other objects, giving Fortrais some insight on their biology. It seems like the sajurix can hold a large amount of matter within it's body, where it starts disintegrating anything inside it. This would presumably allow a sajurix to net a large amount of energy as matter decays into energy. Some captured sajurix have been subjects of scientific experimentation, and it has been noted that when a sajurix is 'digesting' matter they can obtain a radar cross section which is reduced as they digest matter. This is presumably the radar cross section of the object inside the sajurix. Despite this experimentation it is still not known how the sajurix have stable bodies.
It is known that even particles with 0 mass, such as photons, can still have momentum. The sajurix have no mass but have momentum and as such require energy to move. They seem to violate known laws of physics as they appear to have inertia, not being locked to the speed of light.
