Superweapon mounted to a large starship of the
Accuilax Purifiers. Firstly, it digs into the world via a large beam. It then drops a charge through the resulting hole which detonates near the core and creates a
Spatial Rift which destroys the world and kills all inhabitants. Their souls are sent to a soul battery (to store souls) with a
Soul Liquifier.
The Purifier is powered by a large, highly advanced
Quark-Gluon Plasma Reactor. These sorts of reactors use quark-gluon plasma as fuel and produce the massive amount of energy required to destroy a planet, and closing the technology gap between fusion reactors and antimatter - the latter of which is very commonly used in the
Hyperion Federation. The accuilax normally uses a highly advanced form of fusion reactor. A similar quark-gluon plasma composition is used to propel the ship as well, which causes it to be fast for its size (it needs to be) and causes it to emit a powerful energy signature.
The Purifier is one of the more feared starships of the axxulax that exist, mostly because it is designed with the highly sinister role of attacking civilians which make up most of any factions population. When one spots a Purifier during a war, they would likely presume it is sent to destroy one of their worlds. This makes it excellent as a propaganda platform as well, and can very easily drain the morale of any enemy, though the morale of HF forces are often nearly unbreakable.These tendencies do often make it a fairly high prioroty target for other factions however, and as such require close protection. A particularly large treat to the Purifier are deep space weapon platforms, such as the
Tachyon Obliteration Cannon. Therefore, they are kept hidden from enemy eyes but in case they are discovered they have a few ways to protect themselves such as emitting highly powerful decoys as well as simply detroying the spotter. Such a large starship is difficult to hide, especially with the powerful energy signature of the quark-gluon plasma reactors.
Apart from its obvious main weapon, it has little method to fight back against an enemy ambush. They have little armament, coming in the form of a number of small weapon emplacements dotted around the hull, medium armour (weak for its size) and medium shield. This further increases the importance of excorting these starships very effecively and makes it notoriously difficult for ommanders to use. It is capable of liquifying souls into soulsteel as it comes equipped with a soul liquifier. They are sometimes used as large, mobile liquification platforms due to this, and can provide repair materials to itself or other ships.Despite its significant disadvantages however, the Purifier is one of the
Accuilax Purifiers' greatest producers of souls and, when used correctly, can turn an enemy planet into an entire army worth of upgrades.
