Precognition Missile

The Precognition Missile is a type of small, hypermaneuverable missile built and used by the Hyperion Federation.
The weapon gets its name from its ability. It can 'see' several seconds into the future in order to change course in case CIWS turrets begin firing at it. As it can adjust course faster than a speed of light delay, it can avoid lasers to an extent. In order to further overwhelm CIWS turrets, they are designed to be fired in mass volleys. This will significantly weaken an enemy CIWS network which would allow HF forces to fire much larger missiles at them more easily, such as the Photon Missile, which is very likely to cause damage to most targets, if not cripple ships in 1 strike.
Precognition missiles have been made very maneuverable. With thrusters at both ends, all vectored, it can perform very advanced maneuvers very easily and even strafe if need be.
These missiles can be outfitted with various types of warheads, although they are weak in comparison to more conventional missiles. Though very effective at its role, the Precognition missile is not effective at anti ship roles, but have made excellent anti missile missiles many times, in a pinch. Due to their conflict with causlity, which implies the possibility of turning a missile into a time machine, they have been largely restricted in use by the Hyperion Ethics Committee. They are rarely used in reality because of this, but when they are used they are guarded closely by trackers which monitor the state of the missile. It will automatically explode if it detects any attempt at reverse-engineering.
