P'mona

A Harkas individual of a subspecies of harkas that lives in the mid-range temperature zone of Panagia, and capable of gliding long distances.

P'mona crashed into a floating island at a young age while learning to glide. This has broken his left wing, which remained broken for years. Due to advanced harkas healthcare, P'mona's wing has recovered almost fully. He can glide, and has learned how to glide after his wing healed, but is not often seen gliding for recreational purposes because it caused him injury as a child. He is also careful in flight. To this day, there are still visible marks from this injury.

He largely prefers full flight. Due to the Aetherium crystals in his body, and the rest of the subspecies, he can fly on Panagia's Taidakic Field. This makes air travel substantially safer and he can easily expend energy to gain altitude and potential energy, which is difficult to achieve with conventional gliding. 

P'mona is mostly blue in colouration, and has a number of blue bioluminescent markings. Interestingly, P'mona somewhat resembles a Tasteinian suon due to their colours and bioluminescent nature. They sometimes visit Tebburus, the suon homeworld as a tourist. They have visited many locations around the planet including the cities of Takanal, Kragos, Taidak and more. Due to it's flying nature, P'mona likes Takanal especially.

P'mona is a proud bioengineer for the UAC and also explorer. While they have not attained the rank of a Pioneer, they are often seen after first contact and exploring various star systems. Their biology and bioengineering qualifications can help exploration teams overcome biological obstacles such as dangerous alien microbes. Although they cant fly on most alien planets, they also have the added advantage of being able to move long distances by gliding. Very few harkas can carry heavy loads while gliding with no Taidakic field, and P'mona cannot.

He is not very skilled with weapons despite serving a role similar to that of pioneers. They are inaccurate with guns and are slightly slow on the ground (like virtually all harkas). This is a major reason why they have not been promoted to Pioneer, so P'mona sometimes trains with weapons in hopes of obtaining the prestigious rank. This is effective, but they are improving slowly.

Perhaps his greatest mission so far was to visit a civilization in the Irarus galaxy to improve relations between a militarist power and the HF. The former perceived the HF as a threat to their own civilization despite them not having spread to the Irarus galaxy yet. Although this minor faction ended up mobilizing in full scale, P'mona has reduced the damage that tensions would cause between the 2 civilizations. Though not entirely successful, this has earned them a great achievement in his career.
