FSID System

A system adopted and commonly used by the HSA to identify any sentient species universally using unique symbols.
Although common in the Hyperion Federation, other factions use the FSID (Fortrais Species ID) system rarely but understand it. It is primarily used to label items with a specific species (e.g. charging ports for sentient robots, bio-kerosene vents for zekolons), and various uses requiring quick identification without needing to read and translates easily across different alien languages within the federation itself. Sometimes soldiers are also labelled with such symbols.
The FSID system is taught in schools by the HSAED. Although students arent expected to remember every symbol and species (there are probably millions), they will remember t hat of their own species and perhaps a few symbols relevant to their life. For example, if they have suon friends, they might learn the suon FSID symbol. HF cameras are equipped with data that can recognise any FSID symbol and show the user what species it refers to. Somewhat similar to a QR code reader.
