False - Sight

Mental state effecting Suons. Until they next sleep, they will repeatedly 'see' people that don't really exist. They could have an entire conversation with this figment of their imagination, but everyone else will see him talking to himself.   It is randomly caused about once every 5 weeks on average by exotic chemicals in the atmosphere of Tebburus. Only suons get it, however. As suons require this chemical for survival, they can always get False - Sight.   The frequency of false-sight only varies slightly between individuals. Even Tarlox gets it with approximately average frequency. Although the condition is very minor in most cases, it can be deadly in some settings such as in a war zone where stealth is key. If someone spots a 'false' suon, they might try to fire at them, revealing their own location. This can also cause frontline soldiers to miss targets as they attempt to fire at a closer 'false' suon enemy who appears more threatening than a more distant real enemy.     There have been many attempts to figure out how to cure it, and to manipulate it for more desired effects. There have only been relatively minor sucesses in very recent years, and now a person's Cybernetic Enhancements can manipulate the effect, sometimes erasing it when it can be dangerous but the most effective way to treat it is still to sleep. There has also been research in attempts to cause false-sight, but none have ever managed to induce it to a suon while awake. It is possible to induce in sleeping suons by using a chemical. This discovery was made by accident and it is still not fully understood how it works.

Treatment

Through sleeping or using a device that can interfere with brain signals. It is not severe, so the former happens more often.
