Doomsight Shotgun

The Doomsight is a large, heavy and extremely powerful short range weapon. It fires small, high velocity pellets at an extremely high velocity. The sheer velocity involved allows it to completely pierce most species bodies entirely, continuing in its trajectory almost unaffected. The Doomsight can even be used against lightly armoured vehicles with decent effectiveness - but the pellets will be vaporised on impact with heavy armour.
The Doomsight is often carried by CD troopers that like to remain hidden in various areas of a city, and open fire on any enemy forces that come close. The wepon can even be used at longer ranges effectively. Due to the immense velocity of the pellets, there is a high chance that at least one will hit a target at mid range, which will likely penetrate the body entirely and most likely kill the target.
The weapon is, however, large and heavy. This makes it quite unwieldly to use especially in short range combat where speed is very important. This is a key reason why it is used so commonly to ambush enemies. The weapon is used extensively by the CD for its sheer power.
